There is no size to choose. The panel is 10 by 15 inches, which fits the laptop sleeve or main compartment of a standard backpack. Measure the sleeve of your bag before you order if you are not sure. Most standard backpacks take it without any trouble.
Yes. Body armor is legal in all 50 states for civilians. Some states restrict ownership for people with felony convictions. Check your local laws.
Level IIIA stops handgun rounds (up to .44 Magnum) and uses soft panels. Level III+ stops rifle rounds and uses hard plates in a carrier. Level IV stops armor-piercing rifle rounds and also uses hard plates.
Wipe the panel with a damp cloth when needed. Do not submerge it or machine wash it. Store it flat. The panel is made to stay in your bag full-time.
One Level IIIA panel, 10 by 15 inches, 1.3 lbs. The trauma padding is built into the panel. There is nothing to assemble and nothing else to buy. No backpack is included. This is the panel on its own, made to go into a bag you already have.
